Delicious dinner tonight! Wait staff was great! Food was delicious!! Really great evening!

$$ Pricey, not a lot of options on the menu. Everyone gets salad and a baked potato as a side, plus rolls. No kid's menu which I didn't realize. We went for a family member's birthday and I had my 7 year old with, the suggested sharing a meal ( my opinion we would have been hungry still) or to order something off the menu for him. With that being said, food was delicious. Steaks were all great coming off the charcoal grill. Shrimp was tasty. I had the swordfish, which was also great. Would go back, however would leave the kids at home. Most likely just for special nights out.

My friend and I visit the stag frequently. They recognize us when we walk in and usually provide good service. This time when we went we waited 20 minutes for no one to take our order. Waitresses kept walking past us and looking at us. 3 other groups of people came in and were helped/served immediately. After waiting 20 minutes we decided to leave because they were too busy to serve us. I let the gentleman behind the bar know that we had waited so long without service and walked out. As we were walking out he yelled "Then don't come back!". The woman named Carol came running out saying she had just brought us our bread and salad, apologizing saying our waitress was in the back doing something else. We decided not to go back in because of the gentleman who yelled in front of the entire restaurant not to come back. They know us very well and for him to yell that at us is unacceptable.

We dined at the White Stag Inn in Rhinelander, WI recently. We all had steaks, which were quite good. The wedge salad was 1/4 of a head of lettuce. The salad dressings were all home made. The service was outstanding. The portions were hearty and the baked potato came with a 1/3 of stick of butter on it! This is an old time supper club, with a great wood panel interior. They really didn't have any desserts, but we still enjoyed our meal.

The White Stag Inn is a comfortable old friend that is fun to see every now and then. No it's not high end fine dining but the meal is always good, basic food that will fill you up. The atmosphere is old school country cabin and a step back in time. Our server was very nice and friendly. Our order was taken quickly and prepared the way we wanted. Overall the service was very good on the night that we were there.A thing to remember that is this place will get busy. If you are looking for a quick dining experience, this is not the place for you. Come with the right mind set and it's a fun experience. Have some patience, slow down a bit, smile and be friendly. Your experience here will depend upon your mindset going in.

Very enjoyable. Took home two bottles of the Russian cream dressing at $10 a piece well worth the price. We were celebrating our 5th anniversary.

One of the nicest and most beautiful restaurants I have ever been to. By far the best pork chop I've ever eaten! We will definitely be back.

One of my favorite restaurants, any wear. We've been going here for 50 years. Great steak, service and salad. We try to go every year when we come to the Northwoods...

The food here is excellent! Alway enjoyed going there. We went last Saturday. We went early and were seated right away. As we were eating, however, the place became packed. No social distancing that I could discern. No waitstaff wearing masks. People crammed in the bar waiting for tables and lines out the door. I am sorry we stayed. Now I have a sore throat.....hopefully not covid.

Excellent service and delicious food!!

The white stag has been open longer than my 60+ year old father has been alive, and he says it hasn’t changed a bit. Food is outstanding, some of the best on earth if ya ask me. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Dressings are world class and homemade. Order a steak and shrimp if you want a amazing night. Pork chops ain’t too bad either ;) (I’m a local that’s been going here sense I was born, trust me you won’t be disappointed)

I grew up going here but after today I will not be back. NONE of the staff members are wearing masks despite it being a state wide mandate...we asked our server (deedee) if she would wear a mask, and she refused. Super disappointed. This establishment should be ashamed. They should care more about the safety and health of their customers. If you can’t follow the rules, don’t be open. Be warned...They are NOT following Covid-19 precautions.

Their food is downright delicious! They have quite a small menu, only really offering shrimp and different cuts of steak, but anything you choose off it will be great. The charcoal grills and their chefs are out in the open, so you can watch them cook your food. Waiters/waitresses are very kind as well. It's extremely expensive but still worth it.

I've been here twice and my impressions for both experiences are the same. It's good quality meat but the prices are a little high. Yes it comes with a salad and a baked potato and roll but the salad is just a cut up chunk of iceberg and nothing else. The rolls are flavorless air injection bread. And mushrooms or onions cost $6 each. If you get a drink, then you end up paying $50+ per person with the tip and for my money, it's not worth it. I ve reviewed several places in the area that I frequent and spend half that amount and get better value.

No kids menu, Rib Steak was very tough couldnt even cut it. Kitty cocktail tasted like it was made with bitters, people were friendly! Other than that I would not recommend the place to eat.

Always great, home made salad dressing and charcoal prepared food has a distinct flavor. You will not regret stopping there.

Was disappointed, chef left grill with steaks on it our steak were too done, for 33 dollars a steak was not happy. Our waitress was in a hurry had to wait forever for check. Did not give pitcher of water but did for other tables, The cocktails were weak. Brought family from Ohio bragged how good this restaurant was we live 3 hours away. will not come back

The food itself is delicious but the place has gone downhill. Growing up here, the place was always slammed. Now, the staff is limited, the bartender was EXTREMELY rude. Our waitress Kathleen was amazing! Prices are upscale but worth it. No kids menu FYI. Homemade dressings are delicious!

Best ribeye I've ever had. The salad dressing was fanominal. Will definitely be back next time I am in the area.
